Caretaker

Job details

The governors are seeking to appoint a permanent Caretaker to join our committed and happy team.
Duties will include site security (as key holder on call to answer alarm queries), day to day maintenance of the school buildings, site management, general repair work and decorating, control of the heating system and monitoring of energy use, porterage duties and any other reasonable tasks that may be required in line with health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will need to have the following:
• Appropriate handyperson skills i.e. able to carry out general repairs/plumbing, painting, decorating and carpentry
• Be willing to undertake basic grounds maintenance and site security
• Initiative and genuine enthusiasm and desire to work with the staff team to continue to maintain and improve the school environment
• Flexibility in their day-to-day work and the desire to work successfully alongside all staff and pupils
• To carry out and oversee cleaning duties
