Job details

On behalf of the governors of Leominster Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant L1 to work with a child in Year 2, and a lunchtime supervisor for either KS1 or KS2.  The ideal candidate should ideally hold a first aid certificate, or be willing to undertake this training.

The successful candidates will:

·         be able to be flexible,

·         be able to work as part of a team,

·         be able to use their initiative,

·         have good inter-personal skills,

·         be able to work alongside teachers and other colleagues from outside agencies,

·         have very good literacy and communication skills,

·         be committed to inclusive practice

·         have experience of working in KS1 and KS2

·         have Emergency First Aid at work qualification or be willing to undertake such training.

Leominster Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE.  The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children
