Herefordshire Pupil Referral Service (HPRS) provides education to pupils unable to attend mainstream school for various reasons.  The service is currently split over three sites located within Hereford – St David’s Centre (Key Stage 4), The Aconbury Centre (Key Stage 3) and H3 (Hospital & Home Teaching Team). We have places for nearly 90 pupils across all of our provisions.

HPRS provides a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment in which young people can grow as responsible, independent and self-confident learners. We are on an exciting journey of school improvement and have made rapid and significant improvements of which we are all very proud.

We are looking to for someone to provide administrative support in a challenging but nurturing environment. Candidates will need excellent administration and communication skills; the post includes some reception duties, attendance monitoring, Health and Safety, HR and finance.  Knowledge of Arbor is desirable, but training will be given. This position is based at St David’s Centre, although we require all of our staff to be available to work in any of our settings as required.

 Candidates will need:

  • to have previous experience of administrative work within a school environment
  • to have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to safeguarding and welfare of all pupils
  • to have the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff
  • to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workload
  • to be able to work on your own initiative
  • to be a good timekeeper, flexible, accommodating and a team player
