Kingstone High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Art to cover a maternity leave. You will be expected to teach across the age and ability range at KS3 and KS4.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented teacher who is eager for a positive and rewarding teaching post in a supportive and welcoming Expressive Arts Faculty. The successful applicant will be committed to developing creative and well planned lessons and have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Kingstone High School is a small rural school, with an extensive site and superb facilities. We offer a full programme of extracurricular activities. The school is situated in the Golden Valley village of Kingstone, just six miles south of the cathedral city of Hereford.
Applications from both ambitious colleagues and ECTs would be most welcome; you will be fully supported by a mentoring programme. In return, we offer the opportunity to teach fantastic students alongside a committed staff team who are keen to develop and learn, and where your skills, enthusiasm and hard work will be appreciated. There are excellent CPD opportunities and we will be committed to your professional development alongside your wellbeing, offering a wellbeing day to all staff. Visits to the school or expressions of interest are most welcome.
Kingstone Academy Trust is committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
