About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in a special school, you will:
• Promote inclusion and independence across all learning environments
• Provide personalised education, care, and therapy support to pupils on a 1:1, small
group, and whole-class basis.
• Work with teachers and therapists to deliver and review personalise learning goals
linked to a pupil/student’s EHCP
• Support specialist activities such as hydrotherapy, sensory integration, communication
development, and community-based environments
• Help pupils access the curriculum and develop independence in a supportive,
structured environment.
• Play a key role in supporting emotional regulation, behavioural needs, and physical
well-being.
• Liaise with families and external professionals, ensuring consistent and holistic support.
• Assist with health and medical needs ensuring pupils' dignity and safety at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
• A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, preferably in an
education or care setting.
• A resilient, calm, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with complex or
challenging needs.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour support strategies, and GDPR compliance.
