Hoople Care's Ridgemoor Road service rated 'Good' by the CQC

Congratulations to our colleagues at Ridgemoor Road, an eight-bed residential service for adults with learning disabilities, on the service being rated ‘Good’ following a recent inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This recognition has come as a result of many years of hard work by the team Ridgemoor, and the Hoople Care management team, to make improvements across the service, including establishing a positive culture, introducing a new management team, building a supportive structure and driving digital transformation.

The many positive comments in the CQC report included:

  • “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives.”
  • “The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty.”
  • “Staff told us they were listened to, were well supported and were encouraged to share ideas.”
  • “The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion, and respected their privacy and dignity.”
  • “Relatives and representatives all shared positive feedback on the care and support provided to people at Ridgemoor Road.”
  • “The provider had inclusive leaders at all levels who understood the context in which they delivered care, treatment and support and embodied the culture and values of their workforce and organisation.”

Stephen Weller, Head of Hoople Care, congratulated the team:

“I’m incredibly proud of everyone involved for their hard work, resilience, and dedication in achieving this outcome. This rating is a testament to their effort and the high-quality support now being delivered to the residents at Ridgemoor Road.”
